Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Patient Scheduling Supervisor for Westwood Medical Pavilion - West. You will lead a team of scheduling staff across outpatient clinics, oversee daily operations, and ensure timely appointment coordination with strong emphasis on service quality.

In this role you will hire, train and coach staff, monitor performance, and partner with clinic leadership to optimize workflows and patient experience. Experience in healthcare scheduling is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or equivalent experience in healthcare scheduling is preferred
• Leadership/supervisory experience in a healthcare scheduling environment
• Proven ability to hire, train and coach staff and manage workflow

Responsibilities

• Lead a scheduling team for outpatient services across multiple clinical specialties
• Oversee daily scheduling operations, including hiring and training
• Ensure accurate scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations for visits, therapies, and procedures
• Coordinate with physicians, clinics, and departments to optimize patient flow and minimize wait times
• Monitor staff performance and implement process improvements
• Provide customer service leadership and handle escalated inquiries and complaints
• Maintain documentation for staffing, training, and performance evaluations
