Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 12 to 18 months related healthcare and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding basics (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients for outpatient procedures and testing based on electronic, faxed, or phone orders.
• Coordinate with physician offices and hospital departments to ensure timely and accurate scheduling.
• Notify ordering providers if a test is deemed not medically necessary and could affect patient liability.
• Serve as a liaison to maintain care continuity across departments.
