Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Reno, NV is seeking an entry level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 designation, providing and coordinating clinically competent care during hemodialysis sessions. You will assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

In this role you will teach patients and families, perform essential nursing duties, and participate in CAP requirements for advancement. Travel to training sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure.
• CPR/BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze patient data during hemodialysis and adjust the care plan.
• Educate patients and families on learning needs.
• Provide safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy with staff and collaborate with the care team.
• Administer medications according to protocol.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with team and physicians.
• Serve as a resource and participate in staff training and orientation.
• Ensure proper lab collection, processing, and documentation.
