Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care Shelby Township, MI is seeking an Outpatient Registered Nurse to join our clinical advancement program as CAP 1. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care across dialysis patients, including assessment, planning and evaluation, under supervision.

The role requires basic nursing licensure in the state, CPR/BLS, and the ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team. Entry-level candidates with nephrology exposure are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.
• Entry level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients.
• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate patient care; document data in the medical record.
• Administer medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms; document effectiveness.
• Collaborate with the health care team to educate patients and families; participate in quality improvement.
