Job summary

Fresenius Kidney Care in Houston, TX is seeking a professional registered nurse Outpatient RN CAP 2 entering CAP program. This position provides and coordinates clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients undergoing hemodialysis.

As part of the ESKD health care team, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, collaborate with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and technicians, and support education and quality improvement while maintaining compliance with policy and regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state licensure.
• CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which employed.
• Minimum of 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing collection and analysis of patient data during hemodialysis and document changes.
• Develop and adjust treatment plans with the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Administer medications per prescriptions or approved algorithms.
• Provide education to patients and families and support transplant discussions.
