Qualifications

Associates degree required; Bachelor's preferred; in lieu of degree, two years of related outpatient documentation experience.
Licenses/certifications: CCS, CPC, CCS-P, CDEO, CRAC, CPMA, or CCA.
Five years of outpatient physician documentation and Risk Adjustment experience; two years in multi-specialty practice.
Advanced knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and coding compliance.

Responsibilities

Provide coding education to physicians and staff in clinics virtually or on site.
Update educational materials for providers and interpret changes in regulations.
Plan ongoing training on procedural and ICD-10 coding with providers and staff.
Respond to questions as subject matter expert on coding requirements.
Maintain project lists, deadlines and knowledge of outpatient coding.
