Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Clinical Pharmacist for the outpatient clinic retail pharmacy at 38590 Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center. This PRN role covers up to 10 hours per week in a first-shift setting (8 AM–6 PM).

The pharmacist will oversee drug therapy, educate patients, and support safety and quality initiatives. Requires a pharmacy degree (ACPE-accredited or NABP FPGEC) and state licensure; immunization certification may be required. No experience is necessary.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist in state of practice or eligible for reciprocity.
• Immunization and non-vaccine injectable certification may be required.
• Credentialing/privileging required based on practice area.
• Bachelor's or Doctorate in pharmacy from ACPE-accredited school or NABP FPGEC certificate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pharmaceutical care and evaluate literature to design medication therapy regimens.
• Provide patient and caregiver counseling on medications, adverse effects, and proper use.
• Review orders and prescriptions for accuracy and safety; participate in emergencies as needed.
• Support medication safety and quality improvement initiatives within the department.
• Collaborate on formulary adherence and non-formulary medication acquisition.
