Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for outpatient services at our hospital pharmacy. The role supports licensed pharmacists in preparing and labeling medications, handling distribution, and maintaining inventory across multiple shifts.

Ideal candidates will have at least a year of retail experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. This is a full-time, on-site position with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• State board license/registration as pharmacy technician per state requirements.
• Pharmacy technician certification (CPhT or ExCPT) within 18 months from start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacist in preparation and distribution of medications.
• Accurately select, prepare, and label medications for patients.
• Assist with medication distribution tasks and inventory control.
• Screen calls and route to appropriate personnel.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives as needed.
