Job summary

Atrium Health Floyd is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to oversee pharmaceutical care in our retail pharmacy. This is a part-time PRN position requiring flexibility, primarily during first shift hours.

You will engage in patient counseling, manage medication regimens, and review medication orders. The ideal candidate will hold a relevant pharmacy degree and may have various certifications.

Qualifications

• Licensed in the state(s) of practice or eligible for reciprocity required.
• Immunization and non-vaccine injectable certification required based on area of practice.
• Credentialing and privileging required based on area of practice.

Responsibilities

• Oversees pharmaceutical care including medication therapy regimens.
• Provides patient counseling on medication therapy and adverse effects.
• Reviews and interprets medication orders and prescriptions.
• Participates in management of medical emergencies.
• Prepares and dispenses medications.
• Serves as preceptor for pharmacy students.
