Job summary

Danbury Hospital is seeking a Scheduler B for Rehab Services Admin in Danbury, CT. The role handles patient registration, scheduling, and coordination across outpatient rehab services, with daily communication to patients, families, clinicians, and insurers. The position requires a High School diploma, 2 years of experience, and basic Word/Excel skills.

Bilingual Spanish or Portuguese is preferred. Work hours are typically Monday to Thursday mornings and Friday mornings with a generous benefits

Qualifications

• HS graduate or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred; bilingual Spanish or Portuguese preferred.
• MS Word and basic Excel skills required.
• Strong communication and data entry capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Represent department as initial contact and greet patients.
• Handle busy phone lines and direct or process calls.
• Complete intake, new account registration, and check-in.
• Schedule appointments for multiple locations and maintain on-call lists.
• Fax, scan, and file documentation into the medical record daily.
• Maintain therapists templates in Soarian Scheduling.
• Assist with basic outpatient rehabilitation billing procedures.
• Provide scheduling process training to new hires.
• Communicate with insurance specialists and physician offices.
• Compile scheduling data reports per supervisor guidance.
• Fulfill all compliance responsibilities and uphold values.
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance and perform other duties.
