Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in New York to join a multidisciplinary team. You will support patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, delivering personalized exercise-based treatment plans and education to patients across our clinics, with opportunities for mentorship and professional development.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient interaction, adherence to care plans, and contributions to a progressive team

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice as a PTA in New York State.
• Hands-on experience with therapeutic exercises, functional training and physical modalities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team.
• Ability to delegate appropriate support to non-licensed staff and serve as a training resource.

Responsabilités

• Actively participates in patient care under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Follow the Plan of Care and state guidelines.
• Instruct and counsel patients on exercises and recovery.
• Educate patients on proper use of equipment and safety during activities.
• Maintain documentation in the EMR and communicate patient progress.
