Job summary

Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy is seeking a motivated, compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for full-time roles in its New York clinics. You will work under supervising Physical Therapists to implement personalized treatment plans, engage patients, and support a progressive, team-oriented culture.

All experience levels are welcome; we provide mentorship, leadership development, and AI-assisted documentation to streamline care.

Qualifications

• Must hold NY PTA license.
• Hands-on experience with therapeutic exercises and functional training.
• Ability to communicate clearly and instruct effectively.
• Ability to delegate appropriate tasks to non-licensed staff and train them.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in patient care under PT supervision.
• Follows the Plan of Care and state guidelines.
• Educates patients on exercises and recovery.
• Documents in the EMR and records daily notes.
• Maintains safety, confidentiality and a clean work environment.
• Assists with equipment setup and monitoring during therapy sessions.
• Communicates patient needs and progress to the Physical Therapist.
