Job summary

Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy is seeking a motivated full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our outpatient team in New York. You will work under supervision to implement individualized treatment plans, guide patients through exercises, and document progress in our EMR system.

We value hands-on therapists who can educate patients, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and help patients achieve functional goals in a compassionate setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed PTA in New York required or eligible for licensure.
• Outpatient physical therapy experience preferred.
• Ability to follow a Plan of Care and work under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in patient care and informs supervising PT of changes.
• Follows Plan of Care and state practice guidelines.
• Instructs patients in exercises and recovery techniques.
• Educates patients on equipment use and home programs.
• Records daily notes and documents in the EMR.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and clean, safe environment.
