Job summary

ASHFORD CONNEX, LLC seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant for outpatient services onsite in Montour Falls, NY. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver skilled therapy and support patient goals.

The role includes implementing treatment plans, guiding exercises, documenting progress, and participating in discharge planning while educating patients and families on continued care at home. Evening shifts and local travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: Successful completion of an accredited PTA program resulting in an Associate's degree.
• Licensure: Current New York State PTA license or eligibility.
• Certification: Current CPR Certification.
• Training: Complete yearly safety in-services and HealthStream e-Learning.
• Experience: Outpatient or clinical experience preferred; new graduates considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide PTA treatment under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans addressing patient goals and needs.
• Instruct and assist patients with exercises, gait, balance, and ADLs.
• Document patient responses and report progress to the supervising PT.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and home program.
