Job summary

ASHFORD CONNEX, LLC is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support outpatient therapy at our Ithaca, NY location. You will assist with implementing individualized treatment plans, guide patients through therapeutic exercises, and help with gait, balance, and activities of daily living.

This onsite role requires NY PTA licensure, an associate degree, CPR certification, and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Current New York State PTA license or eligibility.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Must complete yearly HealthStream safety trainings.
• Outpatient/clinical experience preferred; new grads may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled physical therapy treatment under a licensed PT.
• Assists with implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Instructs patients in therapeutic exercises and ADLs.
• Assists with gait training, balance activities, and safety devices.
• Monitors patient responses and reports progress to the PT.
• Documents care and charges in the medical record.
• Participates in discharge planning and home exercise programs.
