Job summary

Hire Consulting Services seeks an Outpatient Physical Therapist in Ithaca, NY to support orthopedic and general outpatient care. You will guide patients through their recovery with evidence-based plans and hands-on treatment in a clinic-based setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in outpatient physical therapy settings preferred.
• Must hold or be eligible to obtain a valid Physical Therapist license in NY at the time of hire.
• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Administer therapies including exercises, manual therapy, modalities (ultrasound, heat/ice, electrical stimulation), and patient education.
• Educate patients on exercise programs, posture, and injury prevention for long-term recovery.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to meet rehabilitation goals.
• Document treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries per policies and standards.
• Provide excellent patient education and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.
