Duke Health is hiring for Outpatient Phlebotomy with Offsite Labs at Creekstone Location in Durham. Monday–Friday, 9:15 a.m.–5:45 p.m. Pediatric phlebotomy experience is strongly preferred. Eligible for a $2,500 commitment bonus for a 1-year commitment.

The role involves collecting and processing specimens, teaching routine procedures, and serving as a liaison with physicians and patients. High school diploma and phlebotomy training recommended; 2+ years of related experience preferred.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED; structured phlebotomy training recommended.
• 2+ years experience as Clinical Tech I or phlebotomist certification preferred.
• Certification as a Phlebotomist may be required for Phlebotomy Services.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine and specialized phlebotomy and related laboratory procedures.
• Prepare and initiate tests and procedures including cytogenetics, urinalysis, phlebotomy, and specimen management.
• Obtain total volume, perform aliquots and distribute urine specimens; ensure proper labeling.
• Maintain positive patient identification and accurate laboratory records; perform order entry as required.
• Communicate professionally with patients and staff for problem resolution and cooperation.
• Maintain inventory and assist with equipment, office tasks, and processing.
