Job summary

Duke Health is seeking a Clinical Tech I/Phlebotomy to perform technical procedures for specimen procurement, processing, and evaluation to support patient diagnosis and treatment. You will assist with clerical tasks, specimen collection, and order entry, while ensuring proper labeling and timely delivery of specimens.

This CAP/CLIA‑accredited lab role operates Monday through Friday, 7:30am–4pm, in Duke University Hospital.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy training recommended.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized procedures in the clinical lab.
• Collect specimens, perform phlebotomy, and ensure proper labeling.
• Process and route specimens, enter orders, and maintain accuracy.
• Maintain inventory, safety practices, and quality control.
• Communicate professionally with patients and staff.
