Job summary

Intermountain Health’s St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO is launching a new outpatient pharmacy. We seek an Outpatient Pharmacy Technician to help establish workflows, coordinate access, and support patients under pharmacist supervision.

You will work closely with pharmacists and technicians to prepare prescriptions, ensure safety, and enhance patient care experiences in a growing program that blends retail familiarity with clinical care.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding pharmacy practice and distribution of drugs.
• Lapse or failure to meet requirements may result in disciplinary action at the hiring manager's discretion.
• Retail Pharmacy experience is a plus for top candidates.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in collecting patient information and maintaining records.
• Prepare medication orders for dispensing and assist in compounding as appropriate per site policy.
• Ensure supervision and accuracy checks by the pharmacist.
• Maintain medication supplies and controlled substance inventories.
• Communicate with caregivers and participate in quality and patient safety initiatives.
