Job summary

Intermountain Health's St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado, is launching a new outpatient pharmacy. The Pharmacy Technician role supports pharmacists, prepares prescriptions, coordinates medication access, and assists patients throughout the process.

This PRN outpatient position offers a hands-on opportunity to help shape workflows and patient experiences in a growing program, with a focus on retail-style care aligned with clinical outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Pharmacy Technician certification and/or state license.
• Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations.
• Experience with retail pharmacy operations preferred.
• Ability to perform accurate medication calculations.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications.
• Maintain accurate records and inventory, including controlled substances.
• Ensure accurate dosage calculations and proper labeling.
• Communicate with caregivers and patients regarding medication use.
• Support workflow processes and quality/safety initiatives.
