Job summary
Intermountain Health's St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO is launching a new outpatient pharmacy and seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support daily operations, prepare prescriptions, coordinate medication access, and assist patients.
The role partners with pharmacists and technicians to establish workflows and patient care experiences in a retail-like setting with deeper patient contact. Shifts are 10 hours, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with no weekends or holidays; PRN hours
Qualifications
- High School or equivalent is required.
- Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
- Current knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy practice.
Responsibilities
- Assists the pharmacist in collecting patient information and maintaining records as required.
- Prepares medication orders for dispensing and performs calculations.
- Ensures supervision and accuracy checks by the pharmacist.
- Maintains medication supplies and monitors inventories, including controlled substances.
- Communicates with caregivers and participates in quality and patient safety initiatives.
