Job summary

Intermountain Health is launching a new outpatient pharmacy at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. The Pharmacy Technician will support daily operations, help establish workflows, and collaborate with pharmacists to prepare prescriptions and coordinate medication access.

The role emphasizes patient care, accuracy, and teamwork in a retail-like environment within a hospital setting. Retail experience is valued and growth opportunities are highlighted.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice is required.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy practice and controlled substances.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in collecting patient information and maintaining records as required.
• Prepare medication orders for dispensing and assist with compounding under supervision.
• Ensure appropriate supervision and accuracy checks by pharmacists.
• Maintain medication supplies and monitor inventories and 340B/Charging management as required.
• Communicate with caregivers and participate in quality and patient safety initiatives.
