Job summary
Intermountain Health is launching a new outpatient pharmacy at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado.
The Pharmacy Technician will support daily operations, establish workflows, and partner with pharmacists to prepare prescriptions and assist patients through the care journey. The role emphasizes patient-centered care in a retail-influenced setting, with opportunities to contribute to program development and quality initiatives while working closely with a dedicated pharmacy
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Current pharmacy technician certification/license for the state of practice.
- Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations and drug distribution.
Responsibilities
- Assist the pharmacist in collecting patient information and maintaining records.
- Prepare medication orders, perform calculations, and assist in compounding as allowed by policy.
- Ensure accurate inventory, including controlled substances, and monitor 340B/charging as required.
