Job summary

Intermountain Health is launching a new outpatient pharmacy at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. We seek an Outpatient Pharmacy Technician to support daily operations, help establish workflows, and collaborate with pharmacists and technicians to prepare prescriptions and assist patients.

The role emphasizes a retail environment with a stronger patient-care focus. Part-time, 20 hours per week, with hours from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license for state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations for pharmacy practice and drug distribution.
• Past lapse or failure may lead to disciplinary action per hiring discretion.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in collecting patient information and maintaining records as required.
• Prepare medication orders for dispensing and assist in compounding as appropriate.
• Ensure supervision and verification by pharmacists for tasks.
• Maintain medication supplies and monitor inventories including controlled substances.
• Communicate with caregivers and participate in quality and patient safety initiatives.
