Job summary

Intermountain Health at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado, is launching a new outpatient pharmacy and seeks an Outpatient Pharmacy Technician to help build workflows and patient care experiences.

This part-time role (20 hours weekly) supports pharmacists and technicians in dispensing, medication access, and daily operations while delivering safe, cost-effective pharmaceutical care. Candidates with retail pharmacy experience and strong teamwork will thrive in a

Qualifications

High School or equivalent is required.
Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy and distribution of drugs.

Responsibilities

Assists the pharmacist in collecting clinical and other patient information and maintaining records as required by regulation and policy.
Prepares medication orders for dispensing, performs calculations, and compounds medications as appropriate to practice site.
Attains supervision and accuracy checks by the pharmacist and understands when a pharmacist must verify tasks.
Maintains medication supplies including verifying and monitoring controlled substance inventories.
Communicates with caregivers regarding responsibilities and participates in quality and patient safety initiatives.
