Intermountain Health at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital is launching a new outpatient pharmacy in Grand Junction, CO. The Pharmacy Technician will support daily operations, help establish workflows, and partner with pharmacists to prepare prescriptions and assist patients from start to finish.

The role emphasizes a strong connection to patient care in a retail-like setting, with duties in medication preparation, safety, and team collaboration as the program grows.

Formación

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy practice and drug distribution.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the pharmacist in collecting patient information and maintaining records.
• Prepare medication orders for dispensing using pharmacy technology and perform calculations.
• Compound medications as appropriate and under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Maintain controlled substance inventories and support 340B/charging management.
• Communicate with caregivers, participate in safety initiatives, and escalate concerns as needed.
