Job summary

Intermountain Health is launching an outpatient pharmacy at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO. We seek a Pharmacy Technician to build workflows, assist pharmacists, and support patients as the program grows.

You will work closely with a pharmacy team to prepare prescriptions, coordinate medication access, and help establish patient care experiences from day one. This role emphasizes retail-style service with deeper patient interaction and safety focus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification/license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations for pharmacy practice and controlled substances.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in collecting patient information and maintaining records.
• Uses pharmacy technology to prepare medication orders and perform necessary calculations.
• Attains supervision and accuracy checks by the pharmacist and knows when verification is required.
• Maintains medication supplies and monitors controlled substance inventories for security and cost control.
• Communicates with caregivers and participates in quality and patient safety initiatives.
