Intermountain Health’s St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO is launching a new outpatient pharmacy. We seek an Outpatient Pharmacy Technician to support daily operations, help establish workflows, and assist patients from prescription through access.

Work involves collaborating with pharmacists and technicians in a retail-like outpatient setting. The role emphasizes patient care, accuracy, and adherence to regulations.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification/licensure applicable to the state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations.
• Disciplinary actions may affect employment at hiring manager’s discretion.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in collecting patient information and maintaining records as required.
• Use pharmacy technology to prepare medication orders and perform calculations.
• Ensure supervision/verification by pharmacists and accuracy checks.
• Maintain medications and verify controlled substance inventories for security and cost control.
• Communicate with caregivers and participate in quality and safety initiatives.
