Job summary

VCU Health's Orthopedic Clinic at Short Pump Pavilion seeks an Orthopedic Technician to support outpatient care across foot/ankle, hand, joints, shoulder/elbow, and spine sub-specialties. The role works under supervision of a licensed practitioner and focuses on patient education and efficient cast room operations.

Responsibilities include applying casts and splints, teaching patients, and maintaining cast room supplies.

Qualifications

• OTC certification by NBCOT preferred
• BLS certification required
• Outpatient clinical experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Applies casts, splints and other DME in outpatient orthopedic care.
• Provides patient/family teaching across varying education levels.
• Orders and maintains supplies in the cast room.
