UCLA’s Arthur Ashe Student Health and Wellness Center seeks an Orthopedic Technician to support sports medicine clinicians and orthopedists. The role focuses on casting, brace fitting, and patient education to ensure efficient, high-quality orthopedic care within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in orthopedic care, including cast application, brace fitting, and patient education.
• Knowledge of orthopedic care techniques and practices.
• Ability to recognize own limitations and defer judgment to others when necessary.
• Strong understanding of patient rights, confidentiality, and informed consent.
• Ability to maintain calm in challenging situations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for working with diverse populations.
• Effective time management and prioritization skills.
• Proficiency in communication theory and practice.
• Ability to convey medical information clearly to patients and staff.
• Proficiency in using a PC and knowledge of software such as MS Office, Word, and Outlook.
