Job summary

Premier Orthopaedics, in partnership with Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center, is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant for a full-time outpatient orthopedic role. The PTA will work under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, implementing treatment plans in a collaborative, patient-centered setting.

The position emphasizes clinical excellence, ongoing professional development, and teamwork with physicians and staff across multiple locations in Pennsylvania.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program.
• Current state PTA certification required.
• Minimum of one year experience in an outpatient Physical Therapy clinic or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain effective communication with physicians, staff, and other departments.
• Execute patient care plans in full compliance with state board recommendations and guidelines.
• Respond to patient questions and inquiries to resolve problems and maintain high patient standards.
• Document treatments, patient progress, and other information in the medical record per state practice act.
• Integrate fully as a primary member of the treatment team for assigned caseloads.
• Comply with department policies and procedures, including OSHA and infection control regulations.
• Assist with training Physical Therapy Technicians as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
