Job summary

MercyOne Genesis Bettendorf Orthopedics Care Clinic, under Trinity Health, is hiring a Registered Nurse for outpatient care. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, coordinate with the care team, and support education for patients and families.

Requirements include active Iowa RN license (compact acceptable), BLS within 3 months, and proficiency with EMR and MS Office. Schedule: 40 hours, day shift, no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Iowa; compact licensure may be required where applicable.
• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Proficient in Windows, MS Office and EMR/EHR systems.
• Ability to read, write and understand English; effective communication with patients and colleagues.
• Completion of specialty classes or other certifications as roles require.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient nursing care with assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Coordinate care with physicians, staff, patients, and families.
• Administer medications and treatments via multiple routes and document accordingly.
• Educate patients and families and document education in the EMR; ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in meetings, quality improvement, and risk management.
