Job summary

MercyOne Genesis Crow Valley Orthopedics Care seeks a registered nurse for outpatient care. The role involves assessment, planning, and coordinating care for patients in a busy orthopedic setting.

The position requires an Iowa RN license (compact acceptable), BLS within 3 months, and strong communication with patients and families. 24 hours per week, daytime schedule, with no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• Must operate in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
• Active RN license in the state of Iowa; compact license may be required.
• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Proficient with basic computer skills (Windows, email, MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient patient care using nursing processes.
• Administer medications and document routes and effects.
• Assist providers with scheduling, admissions, referrals, and procedures.
• Educate patients and families on treatments and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation of assessments and care.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
