MercyOne Genesis in the Quad Cities region is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Orthopedics department. The RN will provide safe, effective, and culturally competent care for patients with acute medical and surgical conditions, coordinating with the care team and physicians.

The role requires an Associate degree in nursing (BSN preferred), Iowa RN license (Illinois RN within 1 year), BLS, and ACLS if telemetry is used.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• RN in Iowa; Illinois RN within 1 year.
• BLS required.
• ACLS required only if telemetry monitoring capabilities.
• Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Conducts assessment.
• Identifies patient problems and develops plan of care.
• Implements outcome/goal-based plan of care.
• Evaluates patient progress and revises plan as needed.
• Communicates clinical information to the team to optimize outcomes.
• Demonstrates clinical competence.
• Manages telemetry and cardiac monitoring when applicable.
• Provides care appropriate to the age-related needs of patients on the unit.
• Adheres to safety and infection control policies.
