Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Outpatient Surgery Center in Fairfield. The role focuses on delivering exceptional nursing care across pre-op, intra-op, and post-op stages while collaborating with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Requirements include RN licensure, a nursing degree (ASN or BSN), and potential certification goals (CNOR, BLS/ACLS/PALS). Prior OR or critical care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS Basic Life Support, ACLS or PALS preferred (must obtain if required by department).
• CNOR Certification preferred, not required.
• Two years of RN experience in Critical Care (preferred, not required).
• Completion of OR internship program (preferred, not required).
• Successful completion of Peri-op 101 (preferred, not required).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment.
• Observe the surgery and surgical team, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
• Coordinate nursing care within the OR and with other care providers.
• Provide pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care, including discharge instructions.
