Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for outpatient surgery at Springfield Regional Medical Center. The RN will provide pre-, intra-, and post-operative care, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure a safe, efficient patient experience.

Requirements include an accredited Nursing degree, current RN licensure, and BLS; ACLS or PALS preferred. CNOR and SGNA are nice-to-have. Mercy Health offers strong benefits and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS Basic Life Support, ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support or PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred.
• CNOR Certified Perioperative Nurse and SGNA certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment.
• Observe the surgery and assist the team to create and maintain a safe and comfortable environment for the patient.
• Responsible for managing the nursing care of the patient within the OR and coordinating the needs of the surgical team with other care providers.
• Provides pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care, including assessment and discharge instructions.
• Other duties as assigned.
