Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for the Fairfield Hospital outpatient surgery center. The RN will deliver high-quality perioperative care across pre-op, intra-op and post-op phases, supporting patient safety and comfort in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team, assessing patients, coordinating surgical needs, and ensuring a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS Basic Life Support, ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support or PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (preferred).
• CNOR Certification (preferred).
• SGNA Certification (preferred).
• Two years RN experience in Critical Care (preferred).
• Completion of OR internship program (preferred).
• Successful Peri-op 101 training (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment.
• Observe the surgery and assist the team to create a safe environment.
• Manage nursing care of the patient within the OR and coordinate needs with the team.
• Provide pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care including discharge instructions.
