Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Inpatient Surgery at St. Charles Hospital. The role focuses on assessing patient status, prioritizing needs, and delivering acute perioperative care across pre-op, intra-op and post-op phases.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited nursing degree (AS or BS) and RN licensure, with preferred certifications in BLS/ACLS/PALS and perioperative specialties. Join a team dedicated to compassionate, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Current state RN licensure required (or active in process)
• BLS, ACLS or PALS preferred at hire with enrollment/recertification as needed
• CNOR, SGNA not required but preferred

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment
• Observe the patient status and assist the surgical team to maintain a safe environment
• Manage nursing care of the patient within the OR and coordinate with other care providers
• Provide pre-op, intra-op and post-op care including discharge instructions
• Perform other duties as assigned
