Job summary

Mercy Health's Springfield Regional Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for outpatient surgery (PRN). The RN will deliver high-quality perioperative care, assess patients, and support the surgical team across pre-op, intra-op, and post-op phases.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree and active RN state license; BLS ACLS or PALS preferred. You will collaborate with clinicians, ensure patient safety, and participate in post-discharge instructions.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Certification in BLS; ACLS/PALS preferred or required within department policy.
• Experience in perioperative or operating room settings advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver perioperative nursing care across pre-, intra-, and post-operative stages.
• Assess patient status and develop care plans with the surgical team.
• Maintain a safe, efficient, and therapeutic environment in the OR.
• Provide patient and family education as part of discharge planning.
