Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking an Outpatient Occupational Therapist to join the OP Occupational Therapy team on a part-time schedule (24 hours, days).

The role focuses on comprehensive assessments, planning and delivering individualized OT treatments to maximize independence in daily living activities for both inpatients and outpatients, while coordinating with the multidisciplinary team for follow-up and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current license to practice in Massachusetts and CPR certification.
• Professional credentials such as NCBOT, AOTA and MAOT membership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts occupational therapy evaluation procedures according to professional and departmental guidelines.
• Develops and implements individualized treatment plans and goals.
• Educates patients and caregivers on evaluation results and home programs and follow-up care.
• Collaborates with the care team to coordinate follow-up and discharge planning.
• Documents assessments and treatment outcomes accurately per department standards.
