BMCHS is seeking a dedicated Staff Occupational Therapist to perform comprehensive assessments of inpatients and outpatients, planning and implementing individualized treatments to maximize independence in daily living activities.

You will educate patients and caregivers, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, supervise students, and contribute to continuous education while supporting a successful return to home and work environments. This is a part-time, 24-hour per week, daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Massachusetts licensure and certification preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsabilités

• Conducts OT assessments for inpatients and outpatients according to guidelines.
• Develops and implements individualized and group treatment plans.
• Educates patient and caregiver on evaluation findings and care management.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team for follow-up and return-to-work planning.
• Documents evaluations, treatment progress, and discharge planning according to policy.
• Supervises students and participates in department education and training.
• Allocates resources, ensures safety, and maintains clinical standards.
• Coordinates with the department to ensure quality care and compliance.
