Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) seeks an Inpatient Staff Occupational Therapist to perform comprehensive evaluations of inpatients and outpatients with physical, cognitive, psychosocial, or functional deficits. You will plan and implement individual and group OT treatments to maximize independence in daily living activities and coordinate with the team for follow-up and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Requires current license and certification by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• AOTA, MAOT membership, and NCBOT are preferred.
• BLS for Healthcare Workers certification required.
• New grads welcome; experienced therapists encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive OT evaluations per guidelines.
• Develops and implements individualized treatment plans.
• Educates patients and caregivers on care and home programs.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team for follow-up and discharge planning.
• Documents evaluations, treatments, and progress adhering to standards.
• Supervises students and supports department education.
