Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a motivated Outpatient Occupational Therapist to join our Mease Countryside outpatient rehabilitation team in Safety Harbor, FL. This role emphasizes hand and upper-extremity care and neurological rehab to improve patients’ independence.

The therapist will perform evaluations, develop personalized plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure comprehensive treatment and home-program education for lasting recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy (required).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred or required.
• OT certification/licensure required to practice in Florida.
• Preferred 1 year of occupational therapy experience.
• Eligible to obtain OT license if not currently licensed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans for patients with hand and upper-extremity conditions.
• Provide interventions including manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic exercise, and splinting.
• Treat patients with orthopedic and neurological diagnoses to promote functional recovery.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home programs and adaptive strategies.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and care team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with BayCare standards.

Mease Countryside Hospital, part of BayCare Health System, is seeking a highly motivated Occupational Therapist t o join our outpatient rehabilitation team. This role specializes in treating patients with hand and upper extremity conditions as well as neurological disorders , supporting recovery and improving functional independence.

Occupational Therapist Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans for patients with orthopedic and neurological diagnoses.
• Provide specialized interventions including manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic exercise, and custom splinting.
• Treat patients with conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, tendon injuries, stroke, traumatic brain injury, and Parkinson’s disease.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home programs and adaptive strategies to support long-term recovery.
• Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other care team members to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with BayCare and regulatory standards.
