Job summary

BayCare Health System Rehab Services Main-MCH in Safety Harbor, FL is seeking an Acute Care Occupational Therapist to join our Mease Countryside facility on a Pool/PRN basis. You will conduct evaluations, develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve ADLs, mobility, and safety, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and case managers.

BLS and OT credentials are required, with OT eligibility acceptable.

Qualifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• OT (Occupational Therapy) credential required.
• Or OT (Occupational Therapy) Eligible to obtain.
• Required Bachelor's Occupational Therapy degree.
• Preferred 1-year Occupational Therapy experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ functional abilities and limitations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve ADLs, mobility, and safety.
• Provide therapeutic interventions including neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic exercise, and adaptive equipment training.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and case managers.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes in accordance with hospital standards.
• Educate patients and caregivers on techniques to improve independence and safety at home.
• Participate in discharge planning and recommend appropriate follow-up services.
