Job summary

BayCare HomeCare in the Tampa Bay area seeks a full-time Occupational Therapist to provide in-home services across Tampa Bay, Lakeland, Sarasota, and Bradenton, FL. Typical hours are Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with on-call duties.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, and supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants. A Florida OT license and BLS are required; a driver’s license is needed within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Florida licensure as Occupational Therapist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or BayCare BRC completion.
• Driver's license in Florida; must obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and develops individualized treatment programs for patients based on their needs and in accordance with Occupational Therapy principles.
• Provides appropriate clinical direction for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.
• Maintains licensure, BLS certification, and adheres to BayCare HomeCare policies.

The Home Health OT provides hands-on care in the home for a group of patients consistently using the principles and practices of Occupational Therapy. Responsibilities include:

• Evaluates and develops specific treatment programs for individual patients based on their needs and in accordance with the principles and practices of Occupational Therapy.
• Responsible for providing the appropriate level of clinical direction for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.
• Required BLS or completion of BayCare's Basic Resuscitation Course (BRC).

Required Certifications and Licensures:

• Occupational Therapist State of Florida Licensure
• Basic Life Support
• Driver's License State of Florida (Florida driver's license is required within 30 days of hire)

Education:

• Bachelors Occupational Therapy
• Preferred Masters Occupational Therapy

Experience:

• 1 year Occupational Therapy experience
• Preferred 1 year Home Care
