Job summary

BayCare is seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist for the South Florida Baptist Hospital pediatric rehab program in Plant City. You will conduct comprehensive evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide OT interventions for pediatric patients in a full-time, on-site role.

You will also supervise OT assistants and students, ensure CMS and organizational policy adherence, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient access and clinic outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Master's Degree and Doctoral Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation, treatment planning, and OT interventions for patients.
• Supervise and guide OT staff, assistants, and students as appropriate.
• Ensure care complies with CMS requirements and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to improve patient access, throughput, safety, and clinic performance.

Summary:
Provides comprehensive evaluation, treatment planning, and skilled occupational therapy interventions for patients based on individualized functional needs and established standards of practice. Ensures all care is delivered in accordance with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements, professional guidelines, and organizational policies. Provides clinical oversight and direction to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, Rehabilitation Technicians, Fitness Specialists, Massage Therapists, occupational therapy (OT)/occupational therapy assistant (OTA) students, and volunteers as appropriate. A licensed Occupational Therapist may supervise only one permittee at any given time, per regulatory requirements. Contributes to patient access, throughput, safety, and overall clinic performance through effective communication, timely documentation, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
