Job summary

AdventHealth Sports Medicine & Rehab East Orlando is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to assess and treat patients, develop plans of care, and lead a team of assistants. You will travel to multiple sites and support community outreach while maintaining compliance with standards.

The role requires an Doctorate in Physical Therapy (preferred) and CPR/BLS certification, with a schedule Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, in Orlando, FL. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

• Entry level competency of physical therapy practice, theory, principles and applications.
• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English.

Responsibilities

• Determines physical therapy diagnosis and establishes a plan of care.

• Assesses patient ability to perform functional mobility and evaluates systems.
• Oversees care provided by PT assistants and rehab aides, and supports quality initiatives.

Job Description:

• Primary Location: AdventHealth Sports Medicine & Rehab East Orlando 7975 Lake Underhill Rd Orlando, FL 32822
• Will also Travel to: Innovation Tower, Lake Mary, Celebration, Fish Memorial
• Schedule: Monday- Friday 8am - 5pm
• The anticipated minimum pay rate for this position is $35/hour.

Responsibilities:

• Determines physical therapy diagnosis and establishes a plan of care, making recommendations for referral if treatment is needed outside the scope of physical therapist practice.
• Designs and implements treatment plan of care utilizing practice standards, recommended techniques, modalities, insurance guidelines, and patient needs.
• Assesses patient ability to safely and effectively perform functional mobility skills and evaluates muscle, nerve, joint, and integumentary systems.
• Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures/speaking, and/or other extension of clinical expertise to the community.
• Oversees the care provided by physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation therapy aides, according to established regulations and practice standards. Participates in practice changes as a result of performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department.
• Documents and charges accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology following standards
• Other duties as assigned.
