Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL, is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist for our Sport Medicine and Rehab East Orlando location. You will evaluate patients, design and implement plan of care, and supervise PT assistants in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, ongoing professional development, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to extend the healing ministry of Christ while improving patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred.
• Pelvic Therapy Certification preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and re-evaluations using recommended techniques and standards.
• Design and implement treatment plans utilizing practice standards and patient needs.
• Oversee care provided by PT assistants and rehab aides.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and quality initiatives.
• Refer to specialists when outside PT scope.

Job Description:

Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus for Eligible Applicants

Up to $3000 Relocation Bonus for Eligible Applicants

Shift: Weekday Four Ten hour shifts

Location: Sport Medicine and Rehab East Orlando 7975 Lake Underhill Rd Orlando, FL 32822

The anticipated minimum pay rate for this position is $35/hour.

• Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures/speaking, and/or other extension of clinical expertise to the community.
• Adjusts and adapts to changes in patient census by altering working hours to assist in other centers and programs as approved and observed by the manager or director.
• Practices principles of professional development by maintaining clinical competencies, using best and/or evidence-based practices, and serving as a clinical instructor.
• Oversees the care provided by physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation therapy aides, according to established regulations and practice standards
• Performs evaluations and re-evaluations using recommended techniques and standards.

• Participates in practice changes as a result of performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department.
• Determines physical therapy diagnosis and establishes a plan of care, making recommendations for referral if treatment is needed outside the scope of physical therapist practice.
• Designs and implements treatment plan of care utilizing practice standards, recommended techniques, modalities, insurance guidelines, and patient needs.
• Assesses patient ability to safely and effectively perform functional mobility skills and evaluates muscle, nerve, joint, and integumentary systems.
• Monitors patient response and progress to treatment, modifying the treatment plan as appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
• Entry level competency of physical therapy practice, theory, principles, and applications as defined in competency/department policies [Required]
• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]
