Job summary

AdventHealth East Orlando is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to determine diagnoses, design and implement plans of care, and evaluate mobility and neuromuscular function. The role requires Florida PT licensure and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy or equivalent.

You will join a team that values whole-person care, with opportunities for professional growth, collaboration, and community outreach within a faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy or equivalent required/preferred.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• PT licensure required in Florida or eligible for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Determines PT diagnosis and creates plan of care.
• Implements treatment plans per standards.
• Assesses mobility and neuromuscular function.
• Supports community outreach and education.
• Oversees PT assistants and rehab aides.
• Participates in performance improvement and quality initiatives.

Job Description

• Determines physical therapy diagnosis and establishes a plan of care, making recommendations for referral if treatment is needed outside the scope of physical therapist practice.
• Designs and implements treatment plan of care utilizing practice standards, recommended techniques, modalities, insurance guidelines, and patient needs.
• Assesses patient ability to safely and effectively perform functional mobility skills and evaluates muscle, nerve, joint, and integumentary systems.
• Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures/speaking, and/or other extension of clinical expertise to the community.
• Oversees the care provided by physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation therapy aides, according to established regulations and practice standards.
• Participates in practice changes as a result of performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department.
• Documents and charges accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology following standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Education: Doctorate [Preferred] Field of Study: in Physical Therapy Work Experience: Previous Work Experience with Neuro Patient (Preferred) Additional Information: Education requirements for this position are determined by the licensing or certification standards set forth by the relevant certifying body. Applicants must possess the level of education mandated for eligibility to obtain and maintain the required license or certification.

• Pay Range: $66,268.80 - $123,281.60
