Job summary

USPI South Plains Endoscopy Center is seeking a motivated Medical Records Clerk to join our team. Position requires weekdays only — no holidays, weekends, or call.

Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day. Medical Records Clerk is responsible for assembling and maintaining patient’s health information in medical records and charts, ensuring records are complete, identified and signed, and handling requests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of hospital/ ASC medical records experience.
• Knowledge of AAAHC Standards.
• Ability to use time wisely in preparing work area to meet high-paced demand.
• Show a genuine desire to work and improve the center as a whole.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and maintain patient health information in medical records and charts.
• Ensure all paper and electronic records are complete, properly identified and signed.
• Copy, retrieve and track medical records requests.
• Assemble charts for peer reviews and conduct chart audits daily.
• Track dictations and follow up with physicians regarding missing dictation.
